Unlike conventional racing simulation games, Twisted Metal gives players a fierce battle of special cars. The game’s map is designed like a closed arena, inside this arena, there are many types of complex terrain. Players are responsible for selecting and controlling a vehicle and destroy all opponents on the map. In the game story, Twisted Metal is a competition of bloodthirsty and destruction loving. This contest was organized by a mysterious man named Calypso. At the time of the year, this competition will be held and Calypso will meet the winner’s wish. However, most players receive Bad Ending with most of their wishes.

The tournament will be divided into several different battles and each battle is a difficulty level. In the first difficulty level, players will have to destroy 3 enemies in the arena. At the next level, the number of enemies will be increased by at least one person. You can use weapons equipped on the vehicle to attack opponents, and opponents can do the same thing to you. Please control the car skillfully to avoid attacks from the enemy and attack them most accurately. Besides the usual weapons, you can collect new weapons that appear scattered in the arena. Collecting new weapons will help your vehicle become a lot stronger. You can collect mines, miniguns, rockets, flamethrowers, laser guns, and even nuclear weapons.

There is no limit for you to collect many weapons at once. In the early stages of the battle, players should explore the map to get more weapons than their opponents.
With a large number of enemies and their strength will be increased to the next level. Players will have to choose between attacking and fleeing. You cannot attack your opponent while in a melee.
