If you find Common folk to be annoying, I highly suggest don't play on. Since it get alot worse and much of this can just royaly ♥♥♥♥ you over by RNG.KFR (green) is also very annoying.
Mostly by RNG make it worstExample on a misson where you suppose to do your best to survive, RNG spawn enemy right next to you 30 sec in and you attacked. Now playing the last faction, yeah it turned from fun to just annoying to the point I going for more that I don't like this game as I did when I started.Who on earth found 'Whack-a-mole' a good misson design?! It is just frustrating and it make it even worse with the RNG design gets worse. Originally posted by:It's not just the Sand Kiln mission. I'm really turned off by most of the Commonfolk scenarios.
They're simply not fun, and not just because of the difficulty. Mostly the difficulty seems to be based largely off of how the map ends up being generated, which is a real shame.Indeed, some maps were annoying due to RNG.And that sand kiln mission? Why is there a time limitation?
It takes time to make economy to get Kasha, then the firing rate is rather low, so you need at least 2 or 3 Kasha. And the enemy swarms you with tier 1 units.I got to 20 kills with Kasha max, maybe I have not rolled a perfect map, but its annoying to have time limitation.there is already food that runs out rather fast.
The missions themselves are a complete joke. The problem is that the conditions for the heroic missions are clearly set somewhat too high. For example, the way you're supposed to play the prison breakout stage is that you use the Chameleons to attack the prisons, and the lizards to attack the falcons. This is all well and good and works fine if you take the time to move the right units. However, the mission requires you to beat the stage in 5 minutes and allow almost no one to die.Simply put, there's not really enough time to play the mission properly. With most map spawns, you can complete the stage in maybe 4:50 if you're moving constantly.
This means that there's no time to scout and pick which prison to attack or anything. If the first prison you attack has a bullet hive, you're dead.
If the first few prisons don't contain chameleons, you're dead. If you get ambushed by a falcon while attacking a prison or from a highground spot you can't hit, you're dead. If there's too much water or not enough, you're dead. It took me at least 50 tries to get the heroic on this mission. The Kasha one is similarly problematic. Getting 40 kills with her in 6 minutes requires you to go for a heavy econ opening and rush out Kasha. If you don't have a highground advantage (which allows you to defend with fewer units), you're dead.
If the enemy rushes too much (or not enough!), you're dead. You need them to just trickle in with units that she can shoot easily.
I eventually just started restarting over and over again until I got an extremely favourable spawn, then won the mission somewhat easily. If these conditions were 'Complete the map in 5:30' and 'get 35 kills with Kasha', the basic idea behind the mission would be unchanged, but many more of the border cases would be possible to complete. Right now, the alternate missions are just tuned a bit too tight, which forces you to get a lucky spawn to complete them. Originally posted by:It's not just the Sand Kiln mission.

Yeah, I got 25 max, nearly impossible for someone to get that many kills with something that costs 360 and dies so quickly. I'd love to find someone who could do it, though it will probably show up on a Top 10 achievements you can't get on watchmojo or something.

I noticed that the mouse triggers the graphical buttons at a completely different screen position. This may be resolution-dependent since I am using a different screen resolution than my monitor.I haven't noticed that yet. I'll try it out next startup.Edit: Nope.
Nothing like that. I'm using 5K resolution. Maybe that's a problem now, although it wasn't before this update.Double edit: Yeah, it is the resolution. This update completely messed that up.
